Conducting a Systematic Literature Review with RefRunner

Search by keywords within chosen journals, filter by date and open access, add the papers to your list, and open their free PDFs at once.

Transcript

The Research Tool is for gathering literature for a systematic review, typically targeting specific keywords in a selected set of journals. You can also filter by date, study design, and whether the work is open access. Start with keywords. How about "transfer" and "learning"? Now select a journal. We'll use "the journal of the learning sciences"?

Let's also limit it to open access Next we'll limit it to works since 2016. Every match comes back in a table that you can sort by year, author or journal.

Select individual papers, or click "select all." Once they are selected, click the button to add them to your reference list. They're added to your reference list just like the other RefRunner searches do. The Lit Review bar has a button showing how many of your papers have a free, open-access PDF.

Depending on your browser settings, the Open PDFs button opens or downloads two PDFs per second. Now you have some reading to do!
